Theo Howarth
Theo Howarth is a producer, sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist from Hertfordshire, U.K. and has been working at Highfield for 6 years. He recently has signed to Island Records.
Theo has a deep knowledge for songwriting and creating strong sonic character for albums and projects. Over the last few years Theo has produced and performed for artists like Georgie Sweet, Tom Braggins, Savri, Frank Nitt, Hiero, 40 Watt Sun, Jack In Water, Deborah Jordan, Pete Coggon and Parthenope.
He has also worked as a Tour Manger and Tech Manager for touring bands; running Front of House & Monitors at events such as Glastonbury Festival, Stanton Calling, Silverstone Woodlands, Smukfest (Denmark) and Hamburg Pride.
Theo is co-founder of the nu-jazz band Vertaal, a single album to its credit (Paradigm Shifting) highly acclaimed by London critics. Named 'one to watch' by Jazz Refreshed, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, they were also supported by BBC Radio, Jazz FM and Worldwide FM. The Vertaal have performed several times at Ronnie Scott's Club and Jazz Cafè, as well as alongside, as special guests, the likes of Reuben James, Mark Guiliana, Richard Spaven and PBug. In addition Alijaa has also produced and played on records by other artists, such as 40 Watt Sun, Deborah Jordan, Jack in Water and parthenope.
Theo released his debut album ‘Call For You’ October 2023 on Island Records (UMG).
